Dear Families,
We are pleased to be starting the New Year off with a very
exciting new initiative! The Silver Stream Family Tree will soon be displayed
in our beautiful school but we need your help to make it grow. The Silver
Stream Family Tree will feature pictures of all the diverse
families of the students attending our amazing school.
The purpose of the Silver Stream Family Tree will
be to display all of the families that make up our unique Silver
Stream family. It is also a way to show our commonalities and
celebrate the diversity and culture of the families in our school community.
The family tree will also aim to solidify the connection between the home and
the school. Our goal is to show that Silver Stream P.S. is a “home away from
home” and that each child belongs here.
To support the growth of our family tree, we are asking that each
child bring in a 4 x 6 photo of their family (1 photo per family) to post
on our school’s family tree. Your family photo could include parents, step
parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, pets, etc. Please send in a
photo that does not need to be returned or a coloured photocopy.
