Staff vs Students Volleyball Game

This afternoon, our students and staff played 3 games of friendly volleyball.  Students from our Senior Volleyball Team rotated through the lineup to play against a rotation of staff.  There were some excellent volleyball skills demonstrated by all players... and most of all, everyone participating and everyone watching, had fun!

Happy Holidays!

Today, our school came together in an assembly to hear our band and choir play a repertoire of music that included songs to celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. Students then participated in a holiday sing-a-long.

On behalf of the staff at Silver Stream PS, we wish all of our families a very Happy Holiday!  We hope you enjoy your time as a family and make some new memories.  Be safe, travel safe and see you again on January 9.

Lost & Found

Please dress for the weather

We would like to remind all of our parents/guardians that students need to arrive each day prepared to be outside for up to 40 minutes at recess.  Consideration is given to keeping students indoors for a portion of time or the entire time when the temperature with or without the windchill reaches -20 C.

Students should arrive at school with hats, mittens, warm jackets and boots.  For our younger students and students who intend to play in the snow, snow pants must be worn to keep them warm and dry.

Until we have reminded students of safe play on the hills, there is no sledding allowed.

Thank you.

On Friday, our entire school attended a performance "Cool Yule" by an acapella group called CADENCE.  They used their vocals as instruments when singing songs connected to the holiday season.  The concerts were thoroughly enjoyed by our students.
