Lost and Found

Belongings that were lost during the winter months are now located on tables outside the library.  Please encourage your child to take a look for any missing items.  There are many!  At the end of the week, any remaining items will be donated to a local charity.

Happy Passover to our families who celebrate

On behalf of the staff at Silver Stream, to all of our families  who celebrate Pesach, we would like to wish you and your families a very happy celebration.

Earth Day is everyday

Today, many of our classes participated in an Earth Day clean up.  With gloves and bags, classes were assigned an area of the schoolyard and beyond to pick up any litter, encouraging responsible environmental stewardship.

To encourage conservation of energy, our school minimized the amount of lights that were turned on and wherever possible, shut off the lights to save energy and support the Lights Out initiative.

The overall messaging of the day was to remind all of us to take care of our earth.  It's the only one we have.

Bicycles

Now that the warmer weather is upon us, it is wonderful to see so many students choosing an active route to school.  We do encourage our students to ride their bikes to school and remind them that:

  • Students under the age of 18 MUST wear a helmet
  • Students can leave their bike locked in the rack next to the portables  OR in the rack near the fenceline on school property near the primary play structure.
  • Students must walk their bike when on school property for the safety of others.
Thank you for reinforcing this message with your child.
