For a third year YRDSB has partnered with Spoken Word Artist, Dwayne Morgan, to promote the development of Poetry Teams in our schools! A team of Grade 8 students were selected by their peers to represent Silver Stream PS at the Poetry Slam competition today. Their topics included "Inadequacies", "Relationships", "Abandonment" and "How to be Human". Our team came in first place! Congrats to the students! They will now move forward to the quarter finals. Thanks to Ms. Din-Lovinescu and Ms. Daryanani for providing the opportunity and supporting the team.
