Dear Parent/Guardian,
The High Five Club at Silver Stream will be
fundraising to support people less fortunate than us. Last year the Me to We club raised enough
money to build a school in Ecuador. This
year the club is hoping to raise money to provide mosquito nets for people
living in areas with mosquito borne diseases like Malaria and the Zika
virus. We will also be putting aside
some money to invest in the KIVA program that lends money to people that need
help starting a farm or business in developing countries. This money will be paid back by the recipient
when they start generating income. In
this way the Helping Hands club can continue to help others.
Starting on February 10 and continuing every
Wednesday till the Wednesday before March break, March 9, the Helping Hands
club will be running a bake sale to raise money for this project. Thank you for your support of our efforts.
