March Break

Dear families of Silver Stream,

Lost and Found

As we all prepare to enjoy a break from school, please take a moment to check for any items that your child may have lost .  There is a NEW location for the lost and found just inside the interior doors of the school. 

Any items not claimed prior to March Break will be donated to charity.

REMINDER: Grade 7 Performance

REMINDER:  As you know, our grade 7 students have been working with an artist in residence on a drumming performance.  Parents are invited to attend the performance on Friday March 10 beginning at 1:15pm .

Moving?

At this time of year, we begin to determine our enrolment for the next school year.  Since enrolment determines the staffing we receive, it is important that we keep an accurate record of any families who may be moving and therefore will not be attending Silver Stream PS in September.  If you know that your child will not be attending Silver Stream PS in September, please call our school office and let us know.  We appreciate your attention to this.

Congrats to our Robotics Team!

Yesterday our Intermediate Robotics team participated in a region-wide tournament and received a SILVER standing.  Congratulations to our students! Thanks to our teachers Ms. Daryanani, Ms. Karalis and Mr. Martell for coaching and supporting our students. 

Grade 8 GRAD photo re-takes

If you would like your child to have a re-take of their grade 8 graduation photo, parents need to call 1-866-299-7774 to schedule an appointment for one of the following dates/locations:

Best Western – Newmarket (Yonge/Davis)

Friday March 17                9-4

Saturday April 29              9-4

Crosby Heights Public School

Monday April 3                  7:30am-8:30am (limited space!)

Parents must call ahead to book a time to ensure that the school sash will be available for the pictures and that there will be enough time for each student.
